Martha Hancock, a native Texan, handcrafts each Martha’s Everlastings design with loving care, using freshly picked wildflowers from the Texas hill country, mixed with flowers picked from her own garden. She founded Martha's Everlastings in March 1996 while on sabbatical with her husband in the Sierra foothills of Northern California. Wildflowers growing in fields near their Placerville home inspired Martha to develop her unique pressed flower products.

Upon returning to Texas in June 1997, her love of flowers and desire to make larger numbers of lasting gifts available to commemorate special occasions encouraged her to expand the product line to include signed limited edition prints. No two designs are exactly alike, and she especially likes to include encouraging Bible verses. Martha has proudly displayed and sold Martha's Everlastings pressed flower products on the Internet since October 1997.

Martha’s background not only qualifies her to perform necessary business tasks, it also gives her a unique understanding of the type of gifts that people enjoy giving and receiving. It is this combination of experience and talent that makes Martha's Everlastings so successful.

Here are some of the goals that Martha has established in her company mission statement:

bulletTo produce extremely high-quality, one-of-a-kind works of art unlike anything else on the market, featuring individual pressed flower designs using only the finest paper and other materials.
bulletTo be a profitable business that is pleasing to God.
